Really minor annoyances

Folk not understanding weather forecasts, meteorology & predictive frailties, micro climates & chaos elements in our climate...

Getting moaned at for not completely changing my plans to something that would be a pain in the arse.

Every Christmas Eve, I go up to Tesco early on to get things for Christmas day breakfast. This year I had planned to go at 7am while it is still quiet. I did the usual "is there anything else anyone wants?". I got asked to pick up a prescription. Except the pharmacy is not open at that time. I would have to go much later and if there was a queue, end up late for work. Now I'm the bad one for not doing what I can't actually do anyway.

Choosing today of all days to go to the town for stuff that could be bought at any point after Christmas. No I'm not coming with you, no I'm not parking while you run in and no I'm not picking you up. I've planned to be nowhere near the bloody place on Christmas eve for a reason.

Are you married to my wife 😉😆😆😆

I’ve made lunch. Just rang my lass as it’s past the time she said she wanted to eat and “she’s just got one more thing to do”

When you’re stood heading down the escalators to get out the rammed and manic supermarket when it dawns on you that you’ve forgot something that was needed so you get to the bottom and have to go straight back up to rejoin the madness.

When people announce that they’re giving to charity in lieu of giving Christmas cards. It’s great giving to charity but a pack of cards is about a quid.
You've missed the point.
It's the act of buying, writing and then distributing cards that the person has stopped doing.
Because they don't want all that pointless faff anymore.

But as some people will zero in on "they're just being stingy" people give to charity instead. Making it clear the point isn't the money.

I used to buy individual cards, that took me ages to select for each person. Because that was the only way it made sense at all to send one.
Buying a box of 100 then blindly writing a name and happy Xmas on each one always seemed utterly ridiculous to me.
Do something properly, or not at all.
