Nipping out on a Sunday morning to pick up a few odds & ends then coming home to find Sunday Brunch has somehow materialised on me telly. There is not a more desperate programme, "look at us we're hip, happening & way, way too old to be doing this" Mrs loves it, I want to claw at my face...

When we got our house, the aerial was crap and needed replacing. The cost of that was the same for Sky+ for a year, so we went down the Sky route.
Then we stopped watching Sky (and it was expensive), so we dropped it and just use streaming and Chromecast. Now it is a bit of a hassle to watch any live TV and there is no concept here of "what is on". Since then, no soaps, no quiz shows, no celeb bullshit, no 'magazine' shows. My wife was never into that stuff anyway, but it is great when it is not even an option.

There’s something about that puppet thing on the train advert that makes me silently seethe. I don’t know what it is. I can’t articulate it or rationalise it.
I totally agree and feel myself getting annoyed about a puppet bothering actors on a train advert. I think its the puppets smug face that I find most annoying.

Hmmm yes. I have this trouble with my circular sink. Anything in the sink at the wrong angle seems to cause the water to ricochet off and actually out of the sink, soaking the floor.

There`s an awful advert for the 3 network on 'The Net' featuring a lass DJ wearing a big orange coat, waving her hands about and twiddling dials and pushing faders to a hideous Dance tune. It drives me nuts. It`s even more annoying that I am sadly drawn to it like a Greek sailor to the Sirens Song and end up watching it every time only to seethe ever more.

on the bbc football page, when you go to fixtures and go to Friday 9th May, it doesn't mention the championship playoff first leg at all. even though its kick off time is guaranteed and away side is guaranteed...
.. yet further down, looking at the same date, there is a fixture listed for Australia A-League Men Elemination Final. both teams and kick off time listed as TBC
