Really minor annoyances

when your car insurance renewal is £50 higher than last year, you go on the comparison sites, 'phone up your insurer and end up paying a £30 less than last year.
shouldn't be an annoyance really as you're saving money but it's the same every year and something i absolutely hate doing.

I remember one year with Tesco, the person just didn't get the point that the online cheaper quote was with them. They kept saying things like "Does this other company offer the same level of customer service" etc. I kept repeating, yes, it is the same company, it is from you. Then they went through the policy line by line asking if it was the same. Yes, it is the same company, it is from you, it is the same policy. I just want the cheaper price. Eventually, still missing the point, they didn't want my business going to the other company and agreed to undercut them by 20%.

Otherwise decent documentaries that have actors doing recreations of the incidents. Takes me out of it in an instant.

People in the gym on rowing machines who don't fasten the foot straps tight.

In fact, I never see anyone tightening them.

Feet just flailing all over
People who sit on rowing machines not rowing, so they can chat to their mate who to be fair, is actually rowing.

I don't often use the rowing machines but this really irritates me for some reason.

Used to get irritated at the gym by women on the treadmill who had it on walking pace so they could have a natter to each other while they were exercising.

Also women in the pool who alternate between swimming slow widths and standing nattering in the middle of the pool.

Probably went home thinking they'd done a great workout when they probably burned about 2 calories.

had a day off last week and went to the gym during the day and it was class, only a few people in. totally different from going at 6pm.

swarms of what look like 14 year old girls with barely any clothes on, wish they'd fuck off. they aren't even exercising

Our lass said to me
God sake your feet are cold
I said you can call me hank dear

Dickheads in the swimming pool who a) swim in a lane that is too fast for them, b) take offence when you overtake them, and c) deliberately swerve across when turning to block your way.

There's a big lad who goes to the same pool as me. If he catches your eye, he spends the next 20 mins telling you about how he has long covid and how important it is that he swims/gets exercise.
I've never been caught in his tractor beam (because I'm an unsociable ****) but I do about 30 lengths in the time he's chatting away. I reckon he spends about an hour doing 10 laps of the pool

BBC website constantly posting 'news' stories of some doylum not being able to manage money and whining about it.

Latest was some wet wipe who still lived with his parents and only paid them £160 a month, complaining he lived paycheck to paycheck. What's the worst that's going to happen, you adult child, you have to not buy the Funko Pop you wanted that month?

Flow chart:

Do you have enough money? No

Do you work 40hrs a week? No

Is there anything stopping you working 40hrs a week? No

Well either graft like the rest of us or take a long tall drink of 'shut the fuck up' juice. Keep your failure to yourself.

Swimming pools really annoy me for that. I like swimming but it always ends up being a pain in the arse.

I do breast stroke and I'm fairly quick, but not fast enough to go in the fast lane with the people doing front crawl at speed. We have a slow lane for the people just hoping to drift on the current and then the anything goes lane, which includes people who swim side by side, not wanting to get their hairdo wet chatting as they go. Usually the really slow ones, for some reason don't swim right to the ends, so you can't hope to overtake them on the turn.

Worse was the pool near where I used to work. They used to rope off all but one lane every lunch time for pensioner aquarobics. Those sessions didn't used to use more than half the pool so there was just a lot of wasted space and all lane swimmers crammed into one lane. Everyone had to go the speed of the slowest. I was only going for fitness when I had a couple of broken bones and swimming was all I could do, but I give it up as a waste of time. I don't know why they didn't do the sessions either side of lunch.

All I want is to be able to go to a pool and swim at a medium/fast pace. Not tread water behind a really slow person. I've not found a way to do that in years.
