Really minor annoyances


Blokes with hardly any hair queuing at the barbers.

Not as in balding blokes, just ones that don’t need any length off at all, then end up like skinheaded loons after getting it cut. Skin fades look horrific particularly on any bloke over 40.

My local barbers a gang of lads have a ‘trim’ n sunbed every friday.

I have ‘hardly any hair’. It annoys me in a very minor fashion that some people apparently don’t want me to have it cut. 😅

It is a core drill, which is either going to leave a nice neat hole through the wall, or burn your drill out f***ing up your wall. So why give it a 5 star review if you have not used it?

Do these people walk past a restaurant and give it a Trip Advisor review "Didn't go in but the food smelt nice and the waitress was moving quickly so I guess service is good".

It just automatically makes bad products seem better if they are reviewed based on the box and the delivery time. Idiots.

Supermarkets charging way more than that and no mention of any environmental causes they're supporting with the charge. Which is odd given how quickly they usually promote their good causes.


Hotel reviews can be terrible as well.

"Hotel was amazing. Staff and food brilliant. Place was spotless. Will definitely be back. 10/10" (gives 3 stars out of 5)

M&S is 40p for a paper bag, it was a good idea that’s just turned into another way for them to make profit, it’ll be 50p this time next year.

If anyone here works in M&S do you even know when people use scan & shop? Also feel like I could just walk in pretend to scan stuff and pay on my phone and walk o it and nobody would question me as the 16 year old lass at the front door couldn’t stop a cold and I’d not blame her.

My wife has done "mystery shopping" for years. She got an assignment in a major supermarket (Asda I think) where she was given a very precise shopping list, told to self scan and to "steal" certain items.

If she was stopped she had an email and ID to get her off the hook.

She wasn't stopped once. And I think she did it 4 or 5 times.

Can you just scan and pay on your phone in Asda? Sainsburys you still have to pay at the tills where people are but with M&S you basically scan and pay on the app via applepay so I'm already out of the door before its fully gone through thats why I think its even more open to stealing than other supermarkets, not that I'd ever steal a paper bag or some apples btw.

When she did it. She had to buy the items on the list, and at the self scan just not ring through certain items and put them straight in her trolley, or put them in the bagging area without scanning. Without fail the busy staff member would just cancel off the "unexpected item" alarm without even checking.

On one occasion she had a litre of Ciroc premium vodka on the list. She was supposed to scan it, but the staff member spotted it in her trolley. Then she took it off her to remove the security tag and put it in her carrier bag. As it hadn't been scanned it triggered the alarm and she cancelled it off before dashing elsewhere.
Poor girl unwittingly helped her "steal" an item that wasn't on her list.
 
I was working in a health and beauty section and an old lady asked where the sanitary pads were. I said they're just up there and pointed to them. Then she pulled a coupon out of her pocket for a free pack and asked if I could read it and help her find them. Found them for her. She said thanks very much, then added "eeeh I didn't think I'd need these at 86 but I've got a bit of trouble down there you know". I didn't want to know that last bit 😳

Look at me everyone, I am coughing, clearing my throat, sniffing, yawning, groaning etc

Look at him everyone, he's great- he's coughing clearing his throat, sniffing, yawning, groaning - thought no human ever

Usually done by people who don't understand personal space and like to be physically close to strangers

i dislike that projecting voice some people have ( its not just volume its tone) , where theyre addressing someone but its obvious they want everyone within 20 yards to know what theyre saying . i mean why ?

I only really noticed that last year when my local supermarket had loads and loads of in date Jaffa Cakes they couldn't get rid of that were all Halloween designed packets.

Bread is a weird one. On one hand it's short life makes sense. Supermarkets aren't going to be left with a mountain of it in a month, but on the other hand bread isn't exactly a Halloween product.

No one is changing from a different brand to Warburtons because they've made it Warbootons and put a few bats on the packaging

But back on topic. Why doesn't Warburton bread fit in toasters. Either make the bread fit or make the toasters bigger. That's a minor annoyance

Its a think on public transport that

98% of people on a train or bus want to get from a to b quietly

2% of people view it as being like on stage projecting themselves to a captive audience
