Really minor annoyances

I've probably mentioned this before but web forms that ask for your date of birth, and the only way to enter is to click a right arrow from the current month, going one month at a time. So if you're Blep and you're 47, that's 564 f***ing screens to scroll through to update one f***ing field in their f***ing form
I always ask myself if the website really needs this information. Small amounts of personal information can be used against you in identity theft cases, so if they don’t need it, lie or click on a convenient date.

Same with phone numbers. If I have not been comfortable adding a phone number, I put the company number in.

The latest one requires you to be over 18 as a minimum, so it was at least 216 screens

Amusing that the accepted wisdom of preventing suicide is making it ever so slightly more awkward.

It’s not the accepted wisdom, it’s based on research. Many suicides are ‘spur of the moment’ unplanned etc. you might think it seems a bit daft but those in positions of responsibility have been advised, by those with knowledge, experience and research backed information, that sometimes a delay caused by a seemingly trivial inconvenience can make a difference.

Glad you're amused. I don't think it's "accepted wisdom" it's about culpability & responsibility. If a coroners court cited any organisation for not taking all measures to prevent self harm they'd be crucified in the courts. I'd also argue that anything, any single, solitary effort made to prevent suicide should be adopted, whether it's restrictions on sales, Samaritans numbers on bridges, access to debt counselling, gambling, PTSD etc etc. Many are preventable...

I was amused by the logic, not folk topping themselves. I've had suicidal ideations myself; It's not like I'm some callous unsympathetic person..Christ...

I stand corrected.

People who do not understand merge in turn and either drive bumper to bumper with the car in front or put their foot down when you go to merge into the gap at the correct point and then go off it
Including the mergers, who get angry because I don’t let them in 50 yards from the merge after they bomb up the outside. I let one in right at the front of the merge not one every 5 yards of the last 50.

People who work in bars or shops or market stalls who say 'just' before saying how much you owe..

'.. that'll be just six pound seventy please ..."

Strimmers that need rethreading every 5 seconds.
Came very close to launching my old strimmer like a javelin stick over the garden fence it was that shite. Either the plastic wire would snap so needed rethreading every few seconds, or the whole bottom part would just come completely off. Neighbours probably had a good laugh at how angry I would get.

In my experience if you click the year it zooms out so you can select the year and save scrolling
