Realistic target for next season

As a person with a winner mentality who is never satisfied and always wants more, you need to give the players something clear and tangible to battle for, you can't just tell them to battle for mid table.

This idea that you can build steadily season upon season is not reality in the premier league. Big clubs can come in and take your best players and manager and you are back to square one. You need to take your chance while you can.

The conference league is bullshat, we do not want to be in that. It's very little money and little prestige, but loads more games that can ruin your league position.

For seasons to come it will be to stay up. By early March instead of early April, as that would be progress. (If the relegated teams are like last season then by the start of February)

Hopefully we will reach a point where that is no longer the case .

But if we are being realistic as opposed to wishful then that it will be as last season, with a bit more expectation than we had then
 
Survival, matching this season would be an achievement (because we have overperformed). We do need to be realistic because the stakes are very high, we can't rest on our laurels and we need to strengthen.
