Coleman: "Our stats are through the roof."

Fuck off man.

You can complete as many passes as you like, and run as far/fast as you like, but if the person responsible for finishing the move is unable to maintain his composure to finish with a goal, it will gain you nothing.

I don't hate any of our players, barring Rodwell, but I do despair of them.

And notice how Cattermole is showing his customary end-of-season improvement.

Walking back to the station. What a crappy away day this is, stadium in the middle of nowhere, crap transport links. It isn’t even a nice walk. Reading fans are dull as fuck. Decent touch by their club though, they showed videos of some old SAFC goals (mainly Frazier Campbell) on the TV concourse.

As for the match, we blew it again. Reading were shocking and begging to be beaten. The two goals we gave away were shambolic. Camp was an utter embarrassment for the first one. The second one, Love (was it him?) didn’t jump and Camp stood watching it dribble in.

We had more than enough chances and openings today. In both boxes, we just aren’t good enough. We deserve to go down but what annoys me is, we should have easily stayed up. This league is crap, utter chod. And we are probably going to finish bottom of it.

Oh, and if Fletcher could finish he’d be dangerous. Leggy, pacy, but the bloke can’t finish to save his life.

The final chance of this season was a 94th minute McGeady (who was good today) corner and he hit the first man. Sums it up. End of season. We are down.

You aren’t wrong at all there like. First time I’ve been to reading. Jesus wept bar our travelling lot (superb as always) it is one of the most sterile match experiences going , places that have the ground out of city center next to a dual carriageway / industrial state are just bland as owt man

Nice and sunny though. No coat on today.

Agreed. It’s basically what Murray wanted to build for us beside the A19. f***ing crap.

A wise man once said "Have no expectations, and you will never be disappointed". It's not easy not to have hope though is it?
I’ve been trying to rein it in for 45 years now, haven’t quite made it yet.

The same as not signing M'Vila in order to save £6m and then bringing in N'Dong, Gibson and Pienaar or releasing Beardsley and trying about 20 right backs and still not adequately replacing him.
It’s what we do mate. Inexplicable.

Nah... It's not simply bad luck, I'm afraid. At this point, the table doesn't lie.

A better team would have have won these games, aye.

We are not that better team, obviously.
I never mentioned back luck.I just think we should have won the last 3 games. What are you struggling with here?

I'm not struggling with anything, m8.

The reason we are bottom of the table is we've thrown away points all season... Drawn games that were there to win and lost games that were there to draw.

We don't seal the deal and our defensive marking in the box on crosses (or lack thereof) has gifted goals to our adversaries time and time and time again.

This last week is no different.

We did what we always do and it's really no surprise at this point. Saying we should have won these games is not realistic or honest.

The fact that it's last chance saloon just makes it more bitter.

Releasing Beardsley. Ffs I missed that verdict how long did he get like

Just back indoors, typical modern footy day out, cracking game. End of season six pointers are supposed to be tight and tense, this was far from that. Our defensive failings are obvious and clearly haven’t been addressed.
A lot of southern based fans there most in front of us sat for the whole game but was a decent atmosphere eventually. One woman put a banner up at half time but could see what it said.
Reading had a singing section to our left who kept up a decent noise throughout but it is the epitome of a modern stadium, all very sanitised.
