Just heard the very sad news that Ray Burridge died today.Much loved player for Wearmouth,Boldonand Sunderland.Great competitor who really loved the game and loved sharing memories.R.I.P.

Sad news of Big Ray passing, well known and liked in Fulwell as is his lovely wife Anne, we remember many a good night in Millview Club where Ray and co kept us younger lads in check.
Sincere condolences to Anne and family from Tom, Anita and family.

Sad news. Spoke to him just a few months ago when arranging my Dads funeral- he and Ray played together for Wearmouth in the late 50s/early 60s. RIP Ray.
