Hospital admissions falling apparentlyA week into lockdown and you would expect new infections to be slowing. Interesting to see how they’ve measured that though - if it’s just positive tests it’s meaningless since they aren’t testing everyone
Always lags behind other indicators apparentlyall these graphs and numbers and that, surely the only number that can be used as fair barometer is actual number of deaths?
Depends what you’re trying to work out. Smaller countries will obviously have fewer deaths. It can also take weeks for someone to die of the disease whereas the tests only take 48 hours to come back positive or negative.all these graphs and numbers and that, surely the only number that can be used as fair barometer is actual number of deaths?
Really hope so.Hospital admissions falling apparently

Yes I got it wrong, it’s not number of admissions falling but the rate of admissionsHe also mentioned that about the rate hospital admissions falling. I think he was from Imperial College
Actual number of deaths “caused” by the virus and not just deaths of people who have tested positive for the virus.
Currently we are recording the second and it makes for grim reading, a high proportion of those who have died and tested positive may well have died even if they had caught the common cold.
How deadly is coronavirus? It's still far from clear

Thats the thing - the stats are all over the place. There was some confusion over that poor 21 year old lass who died. First it was reported she had coronavirus, then the guardian reported she wasnt included, then they withdrew the article:-
Chloe Middleton: the coronavirus death that wasn’t
The 21-year-old’s tragic death has not been recorded as due to Covid-19.www.spiked-online.com
