Rate of infection slowing down.

A week into lockdown and you would expect new infections to be slowing. Interesting to see how they’ve measured that though - if it’s just positive tests it’s meaningless since they aren’t testing everyone
Hospital admissions falling apparently
all these graphs and numbers and that, surely the only number that can be used as fair barometer is actual number of deaths?
Always lags behind other indicators apparently

ah reet. just seems to me that there are endless variables concerned with

'amount of people tested'
'amount of positive tests'
'amount of people actually at risk of dying' '
amount of people at risk of dying, who then recovered'

The two week virus incubation period delay may suggest it is too early to draw these conclusions.
He also mentioned that about the rate hospital admissions falling. I think he was from Imperial College

What if they're not putting non-serious cases in hospital due to fears of overcapacity? Someone on my street got it and has been simply put at home.

Actual number of deaths “caused” by the virus and not just deaths of people who have tested positive for the virus.

Currently we are recording the second and it makes for grim reading, a high proportion of those who have died and tested positive may well have died even if they had caught the common cold.

Thats the thing - the stats are all over the place. There was some confusion over that poor 21 year old lass who died. First it was reported she had coronavirus, then the guardian reported she wasnt included, then they withdrew the article:-
