Generally speaking: if you are a bit of an ugly sod with potential low self esteem etc and all of a sudden someone is showing an interest in you that is a fair few rungs higher looks wise, it can send your judgement, mindset and emotions all to pot.

Suspect that is what has happened here.

Aye his reviews are dodgy mind; he liked Pizzaholic which is always a red flag. It's one of the worst pizza shops in the North East, absolutely dire. Sort of place you go when you've had 20 pints and can't remember it.
