Ralph " The Karate Kid" Macchio (not dead)

What A Waster

Striker
Lost Magpie
Just found out he's now 57 years old.

Obviously he's gonna get old, as that's how time works, but surprised to find he's now 57.
Karate Kid was 1984 when he was 23, thought it was late 80s, and thought he was about 17 in it, hence my surprise at him being 57.

No way, those bullies wore black (sure sign of evil in films), and they even dressed as skeletons, forcing poor Daniel to go out dressed as a shower.

Also, new kid in town getting picked on for being new. By 3 hard lads. Safety in numbers. Plus they probably thought he was weird hanging round with an old bloke

Thought it was common knowledge he was quite old in the first film.

It might well be. Common doesn't mean universal.

If Mr Miyagi had worked for the BBC, he’d have been Yew Tree’d by now.

He won with an illegal move.

VILLAIN STATUS CONFIRMED.

Don't hate the player, hate the game.
Up to the ref to call it.
Sustained campaign to deliberately injure him throughout the tournament, gave them back a taste of their own medicine.
Plus the music at the end when he wins suggests the very opposite of him being the villain.
Gets the girl, gets the trophy, triumphs after facing great adversity, and the villains in the black outfits are left looking angry and jealous.
Inspirational.

He's the villain.

Don't be upset I've ruined a cherished childhood film for you.
