Rafael Benítez

Rafa is well on his way to being a club legend and having a statue. All for relegating them and negotiating a pay rise.
I've just got...

"All the Sunderland fans are s****** themselves now Rafa is confirmed, we're 4/5 to get promoted! Has to be the shortest odds is Championship history that"

Hang on, is that another award they have won while winning relegation? They are literally incredible :lol::lol::lol:

That counts as a trophy man

"I don't think i can love this man anymore than I already do."

"Newcastle legend"

"And that's how you become a legend. He'll never have to buy a drink in Newcastle again."

Can anyone remind me just what exactly the fat Spanish waiter has done to gain this legendary status?

They might get 4th and get to the semi final of the play off cup.

I wonder if he's ever bought a drink in Newcastle at all.

He's a good writer to be honest. Certainly one of the best covering the north east - though I do realise that's not really too hard.
He does tend to write in one style all the time . There is no substance in what he has written today
"His priorities gleam like Silver" "newcastle have their love back"

Hounding managers out is a North East tradition, shame we can't beat the 45 minutes it took you lot to hound MoN out

Absolute bollocks man. We booed the team off at half time as we were trailing Blackburn in his first game.

Clutching straws here.

When it comes to hounding out managers, can you name any other clubs apart from yourselves that have embarrassing petitions and pissed stained bed sheets?

Weird how when you lot boo, it's aimed at the team, but when it's us it's classed as hounding out. 45 minutes, man bewwww

As another poster mentioned "Relegate them and negotiate a pay rise"

A lot of bravado on this thread.

Benitez is a good manager and on balance of probability they will come straight back up next season. He won't want a failure at a second string club on his CV.

On the other hand, he has never managed at this level before so there is always the slim possibility he could 'do a McMenemy' for our entertainment.

There's a difference between booing and piss stained bedsheets, petitions and (insert manager) out.com
