I really hope irate geordies have rang in about it!

I hope the banner makers were careful. I mean anyone down on the Quayside will be able to run straight up to the banner over all the bodies from the suicide jumpers that went over 9.45 pm on 11th May. :D

I was on night duty a few years back when they got relegated. I was allowed to leave a couple of hours early and unbeknown to me that was the morning someone put the mary poppins banner on the tyne bridge. There are still a few i used to work with who think it was me!

It may or may not be true that a particular person maybe or maybe not wanted the fire brigade to attend on a priority response to cut it down due to being particularly incensed

Tyne and Wear's finest probably told him to find some scissors and jog on :D
