Caulkin reckons it's close

Barring disaster - none foreseen - Benitez will be reconfirmed as #NUFC manager next week. Long few days of nitty-gritty, positive talks.

Wasn't he just as close to wist em the other season, until real showed interest. The fact is he was waiting for a better offer, however he's done pretty shite in his last few big jobs so not many will be chasing his signature.

Exactly I don't think he's got many other realistic options particularly if it's true about him wanting to remain close to his family in Liverpool

The thing about culkin is he's a decent writer tbf to the bloke, however he tried to hard with the I want all ne sides to do well thing so when the mask slips it makes him look proper shnidy.

That's exactly how I see it too mate. I have liked quite a few of his written pieces on the past. Just don't think you can keep the magness inside you hidden for long periods at a time. A bit like tourettes. It just comes out at inopportune times.

This has gone on far too long.

The board should have given him an ultimatum a few days ago because the Euro's are coming up and there is less time this summer than most and Benitez is really not worth all this trouble.
