He has a worldwide network of scouts and a list of 14,000 players to choose from.
According to today's Journal.

Relegation is clearly just a blip. They're still favourites for the Champions League in 2019.

He can pick the phone up to any manager in the world as could JFK and DO a deal man.

Villa will be stronger and have the money and fan base to be challengers, once the momentum starts they could be the one to watch.
Norwich will be strong, keeping a most of the squad and be a tight knit team spirit - similar to how Burnley came back up.
Brighton will be stronger after the disappointment of just missing out and Hughton will have had more time with the squad.

The above will be the top three places.

Derby will be there or there-abouts
Hull or Sheffield Wednesday will be contenders again
QPR will have a big spend and be contenders

Lots of other sides that could be difficult and may have a good season.

It s not going to be easy at all for the Mags. Every other team will see them as the one to beat.

I think they will struggle to make top two, may contend for he play-off spot.
If they don't come up then the second season will see wholesale changes and down sizing with a young up and coming manager and a huge turnover of players.

He's been letting the entire world know he'll decide this weekend in a 'please anyone else want to offer me a job' way.

Nobody else wants him so he will sign for them.
I reckon that's exactly what's happening. This whole farce is an advert for him and the daft mags have fallen hook, line and sinker for it. If everything, the love-in must only have increased the chances of an appealing offer coming in.

Personally, I'm not fussed if he stays.

If he'd fallen in love with the toon he wouldn't be piss farting around he'd have given them a big fat yes I'm stopping. He doesn't need to sign anything he's got a 3 year contract.

Ah, but if you've masterminded a successful relegation you need a payrise

I don't think Rafa did as bad a job as some on here like to make out. If you look back at the Predictor thread from a couple of months ago, very few people had either us, Newcastle or Norwich down to get above 35 points. It was the overwhelming belief of the SMB that the 37 points the Mags would eventually get would have kept them up. Yes, the Norwich result was terrible, and the draw at Villa not much better. But they beat Spurs, and came from behind to draw with Liverpool and Man City, as well as good wins against Swansea and Palace. You would have expected those results would have kept them up, and everyone would be saying he'd done a good job. Unfortunately for them, though, we picked up more points in our final 10 games than Rafa got from his 10. They went down not because Rafa did a shit job, but because he did an alright job with what he had, but Allardyce and our players did even better.

Mind, he did nowhere near as good a job as some mags are making out.

He came in to keep them up and failed .......... where's the debate?

He's sitting by his phone shaking like a shitting dog desperately hoping that someone will offer him an escape route

Poor Rafa!

How funny would it be if he doesn't get a better offer and still says no ............
