First teamers?

The Townsend thing is guesswork. More than likely, yes, but still guesswork.

We've got Mitrovic (potentially), Armstrong, Perez (potentially), Riviere (I know) and Toney as forwards at the minute. I'd like to see us go for someone like Gary Hooper for experience at this level if we do shift some of that.

Lovenkrands, Carroll and Ameobi alonsgside Nolan scoring from midfield were more than enough the last time we went down.

loan these two out
Armstrong did well with Cov?

We've already got two decent centre-halves should we hold on to both Mbemba and Lascelles. Look a bit inexperienced beyond that (Sterry and Good) so I'd look for an experienced player for the duration of the season (similar to Fitz Hall and Mike Williamson (who was longer term) last time).

given the extra games think you need at least 3 good CB (better still 4) for extra cover.

Richard Keys has upset them

"Rather bizarrely, the TV presenter claims that Rafa Benitez ‘manages for himself and his CV’, which would then beg the question of why then risking his reputation on getting involved at Newcastle, when everybody knew it was a near hopeless case with only 10 games to go."

They love a bit of rewriting history don't they

What bit don't you see about being on here at the time is sad?

You simply can't help yourself replying, we are your world, your claims are brilliant! I get up at 5.30 but were posting on here at 5.04, after that you then claim you you woke up early today, 4.45 did you say? Less than 20 minutes later your posting on here, you then claim to be at work but are still posting on here over 8 hours after your first post of the day! Sad as fuck, get yourself a life. I bet your lass is owa the knot you spend your life obsessed by this place! It's a good forum but there's no need to spend your walking hours on here.
Stalker alert.

Armstrong got 1 in 2 at League 1 so He could be good for 10-15 goals at Championship in a title chasing side.

I'd say 4 CB's as a minimum. Mbemba (if we keep him), Lascelles, Dummett, + (as Sima says) a CB who's experienced at that level. I'd go for Dunk from Brighton personally.

Why loan Perez and Mitrovic out? Unless they want to of course?

Armstrong was in the League 1 team of the year this season, scored 20 goals.

I agree, which is why I said get an experienced hand for this division. I would 100% go with Mbemba and Lascelles if they are still here though.

Hopeless case  they were 1 point behind 17th with a game in hand when he took over. Had the easiest set of fixtures out of the bottom sides as well

this is the big unknown...how many will want to play championship football.
its easy to assume they all will (because their wages arnt dropping) but why take the drop when there might be better alternatives...
time will tell.

They are all willing to fit for Rafa

Remember, their wages will be unchanged.

It'll be like a holiday for them down in the championship, no pressure, 5-1 victories every other week, etc.

My source reckons all the first teamers are willing to stay put apart from Cisse
unless you sources are all the players agents... i'd reserve judgement
agents will smell another move and more money

whoosh surely ? ....or you honestly believe that

I know

You could genuinly believe that they were 10 points adrift when he arrived and he nearly did the impossible. The reality is they were favourites to survive on his arrival, failed to beat Norwich, Villa & Sunderland and were promptly relegated.

This circus is just f***ing mental

its going to be interesting who RB will deem required.... and if Carr keeps his job

Dick had us safe with 1 game to play having taken over with 10 games to go how did a world class manager fail with such a talented bunch of players

Carr will probably go. Be interesting to see the effect Rafa has on comings and goings. A manager of his reputation, but in the Championship?

i'd imagine itll be total control... manager like BSA, no DoF, so autonomy over signings

Doesn't get much more experienced than Clint Hill who has just been released by QPR...

take townsend out of the equation and who would really stand out?
from the games i watched he was the main difference keeping the mags in touch, the rest seemed to have little fight or belief in them and i can see mitrovic picking up a few reds when the championship defenders are hassling him, besides, if a premiership team comes in for any of them they will be off unless the wages they are on now are astronomical.
