If I'm being honest I'm not sure you would have. He's presided over 2 relegations (we've only been relegated 6 times in our entire history). We've gone from having regular European Football to more often than not fighting relegation. He's employed people like Dennis Wise, Joe Kinnear (twice) and Alan Pardew in key positions. Thoroughly unlikeable people. He's also promoted a club secretary way beyond his capacity who has been found to be a total incompetent.

He's plastered the ground with his tacky logo, even going so far as renaming the ground at one point and using it later on as a good-will chip for a new sponsorship deal with a equally reprehensible loan company. He's also removed most of the team photos from the 15-year period prior to his reign when we enjoyed better times.

That's just for starters.

Again, yes we've spent that money on transfers but until the accounts come out, the club has spent that money. Not him.

Of course I don't think Short is perfect (us, yourselves and Aston Villa have been run horrifically over the last few years) but you only have to look on here after a few consecutive defeats and there are multiple calls for Short to sell up which gives me a decent stab at suggesting that you wouldn't give Ashley the slack that you are suggesting.

You should have no problem showing me then.
Are you denying it? Yes or no, no novel a bumbling drivel required.

more season ticket holders than your capacity, you lot have been bleating on how crowds make the club big for years

have the rules suddenly changed?

Don't know, show me where I have suggested that those are 'the rules'

Frequently? Yes.

Go and find me, say, 4 separate threads where I have said you're angry and I'll hold my hands up.

I do enjoy reading through recent articles, for some reason it gives me a great sense of satisfaction :)

some of the quotes are great.
“It was possibly the most valuable save I’ve made. It was one of those special moments that could keep us up."

says he finds mind games boring but the worrying thing for Sam Allardyce and Alex Neil is that, right now, he has no need to resort to them.

A combination of the Spaniard’s grace under pressure and Newcastle’s best run since 2014 has fuelled real hope on Tyneside that a team one and two points, respectively, ahead of the other contenders for the last two relegation spots can stay out of the bottom three.

If reports are true of a £5M annual salary, he won't get a better offer.

Once the parachute payments end the TV revenue wouldn't even cover his salary. He better get them back up sharpish or they'll be fucked.

I never realised how big the gulf is, premier teams next year will average around 120 million, championship 2.5 million
Nee the wonder the mags are losing the f***ing plot

They'll be gambling on getting immediate promotion. I believe he originally signed a 3 year deal so his contract should be up around the time the parachute payments stop, should they not achieve promotion.

Has this whole Rafa shit not have a whiff of the Advocaat fiasco at the end of last season. ('cept he kept us up). A couple of lucky results including a roll-over by Swansea (who have done well since!!) and a dodgy penalty by an ex-mag vs Palace have made them even more delusional than they already were. Hopefully it will all end in tears and they'll end up with Warnock after the first 13 games or so!! :)

It's a f***ing big gamble considering the teams he's struggled with this season were pretty much championship quality. It's going to be interesting....

£120m interest free loan. If he wasn't providing that there would at a minimum be interest payments. You would also probably be repaying it which would reduce profits/ability to spend.

So nothing since 2009 like I said?

I see your point on the interest payments but it's his money and his club so it makes sense not to give the banks the interest payments if he can cover it himself. For example if your son/daughter wanted a car and you had the cash would you loan it interest free or let them go to a bank?

It's not as if he's wrote the debt off btw, it will still be factored into any sell price should, miraculously, anyone come in and offer to take the club off his hands.
