Rafael Benítez

If they keep the bulk of the players and Benitez they will be huge favourites to come back up quite rightly.

Quite right ......... which is what makes all this speculation when they could end up with Carver & Joey Barton.

What? I said I'm confident (hope), not I expect (will). It's not difficult to understand context.

On the second part, G Force himself said the following earlier.

Is he delusional too?
Probably, half of the clowns on here had you reincarnated as the greatest team ever once Rafa came despite the overwhelming evidence pointing the other way.

That said, you stand a decent chance next season, biggest club in the league and so on, it will be difficult though.

Good appointment if they make it. I'd have backed them for an immediate return regardless of who was appointed but he seems to have created a feel good factor there and given then optimism. We can take the piss but they didn't seem to be all that gloomy on Sunday which is unusual a couple of days after a relegation.

I might put a fiver on an immediate return for Newcastle and Norwich and Villa to go down.

Yes, and to be fair I'm saying it more in a hope of cursing you  If I say you're fucked then I know it'll bite me on the arse ;)

Mags on the whole are over confident. I've come across none yet that believe they won't come back up. You've a decent chance, but you're likely to lose 4 or 5 of your more talented players, yet still expect to stroll back up after a bit of a jolly. It's going to be tough down there. A lot will depend on your start. Win the first few and momentum might carry you, get off to a poor start and it could all unravel quickly

Ashley is prepared to bank roll them back to the premier league, pay them premier league money to championship players, aye right :lol:

I like the look of that Aarons fella like. We should buy him.

Just have a word with his agent that a PL club is interested to unsettle him and we should get him for next to nowt.

Second rate clubs in the championship can't hold on to decent players.

Like us, most agreed before the end of the season. £595 a ST. That is what 2 of my mates are paying anyway.

A lot are on the 10 year plan these days that freezes the prices for the term. Keeping Benitez could keep at least 10K on the gate imo, even after the waiting list.

If he signs then doesn't get what he was promised and walks it would be brilliant

Like DA here....they will make promises they may not actually want to keep when push comes to shove. He will undoubtedly hoy his toys about if that happens.

I wouldn't blame him at all. He doesn't stand for any shit, his grievances with Hicks and Gillette at Liverpool proved that.

Yep, if promises aren't kept he will walk like.

I wouldn't blame him either, it would be fun to watch as well
