West Ham United would like to assure supporters that the Board are extremely confident of appointing a high-calibre first-team manager, who has a proven record both in the Premier League and European football.

The Club expect to make an announcement within the next seven days, following a thorough and strategic process that has identified the best possible candidates.

Joint Chairman David Sullivan said: “I would like to reassure our supporters that we have left no stone unturned in selecting the individual we believe is the right man to take West Ham United forward.

“We have followed a process that is progressing entirely to plan and are now very close to reaching an agreement.

“This is an exciting time for our football club. We are preparing to appoint a manager who has a proven record of success at the highest level of th

The delusion man

I hope rafa stays at the mags and they give him 300 million to spend and he buys loads of shite.

I mean, it would be funny if he left but I cannot see him going to west ham.

Yeah dull as fuck.

Free scoring

In 2005 when Gerrard won the CL for Liverpool, they scored 52 PL goals. That was less than Middlesbrough and the same as Chris Coleman's Fulham who finished 13th. And only 7 more than the bottom club Southampton.
I know man but howay, west ham?
hes already managed three of the twelve or so biggest clubs in England. Which surely also rules him out of the Everton, Utd and Sunlun jobs anarl. Leaving him with City, Arsenal, WHU, Spurs, Villa etc. Which seems the most likely to you?

No chance he goes to bloody West Ham man. And people call us deluded

How are they are ‘much bigger club’? Have they won any trophies lately? Do they get more people going to the games?

I agree with the board comment but West Ham have a lot of potential being situated in the middle of London, with a brand new ground. No one wants to come to the north east.

For me West Ham are not a big club even though they did win the world cup...Honestly dont see what he would get from going there that he doesnt already have up the road. On the flip side I f***ing hope he does go, daft twats will spend their summer crying into their Greggs.

This isn't coming from Benitez.

Unless you believe he's persuaded West Ham to collude with him you're wrong.
Rafa will be loving this man. No chance is he going to come out and say he's not interested while he is after more money for players at Newcastle.
