It was a figure of speech. It's a fair assessment that a Crystal Palace fan has a greater depth of knowledge on Dwight Gayle than a Sunderland fan, no?

Regarding him being fourth choice, he was managed by the same bloke who played Hayden Mullins and Marlon Harewood over Mascherano and Tevez.

Pardiola? Ah those were the days eh?

Weren't they off to Europe and Pardew was their king?

They're a league below him with Jack Colback as their midfield talisman and Pardew's 4th choice striker as their striker playing Burton, Rotherham and Brighton but there's still time for a dig at their "king".

Bizarre breed.

A load of bollocks from the Chronic all manufactured so they can say how much Rafabeneathus loves Newcastle when he is still with them later in the season.

Be quiet, man. As an outsider he obviously has better knowledge than you who watched him week in, week out.
Hes seen the lad score barely a dozen goals man watching him week in week out over he past few seasons

Again agree with this

The irony is, they'd probably still be Premier League team if he was their manager. I keep hearing about him living off winning 5 games in a row, something neather Rafa, or McClaren achieved in the Premier League as their manager.

London clubs have a massive advantage over you and us unfortunately most players and managers would choose London over the north east
And Rafa could 'choose' to manage many a London club. But he's been to Chelsea, arsenal and spurs don't need him, and the rest would be a side step at best

Looking at Rafa's PL record. jury is still out tbh.

He had that one good season with Liverpool when they finished 2nd but there was a few 4th 5th and 6th place finishes with a lot of money spent.
Chelsea he took them over and they finished only 3rd quite a way off Man United who won the league
Went in with the Mags when he could have kept them up but took them down.

Hardly a glittering career CV in England. Dare I say it, he's rather overrated and his achievements have been somewhat glorified,

That team that finished 2nd should of won it. that team was excellent to be honest.

Funny that only you lot use that excuse. We never struggle to attract players, your lot on the other hand..... Maybe the fact that players don't want to sign for Sunlun has nowt to do with location
