But what happened next season for those Sunderland managers?

Rafa largely towers above all of them. By a great margin. They're thinking long term. I don't think he'll stay but if he did, and had control over all footballing matters, that's top 6 and further.

Well he's had a close season, brought in his own players, has total control ........ how do you reckon it's going so far?

They could be playing Hartlepool next season the way they are going. Hell they could play South Shields and Benitez would still turn around after the game and say 'we knew South Shields would be difficult opponents'

His transfer business has been truly dreadful, he has signed quite a number of bang average (at best) players on long term contracts. He is doing a terrible job but is hailed as great and untouchable, it's absolutely brilliant and their long term outlook is very poor as they will be stuck with a big squad of mediocrity for some time.

Delicious!!!!

if he's still in the job after January ill be very surprised!:lol::lol:

Don't think they will find it as easy as they all think it will be!

I think Beneathus will string a decent set of results together and they'll do ok this season. As amusing as the poor start is we know that it's not the sign of a shit season ahead in the sky bet.

Love to be proved wrong on this point mind
