Well, it used to be the away team took preference. Same as Metro back in the day. The wrinklies you refer to can't pick up DAB, which is shite. Thousands of wrinklies hold season tickets, we lost a legend wrinklie last month. How old are you? Calling older fans wrinklies is offensive in my opinion. You are a titThe only people complaining about this are wrinklies with a wireless from the last century.
Meant to be it’s named that cos the station is in that city. Apparently. The clue is in the name of the station like, radio for the North East my arse.
Very rare both teams are playing at the same time. Maybe four or five times in the season I’d guessWell, it used to be the away team took preference. Same as Metro back in the day. I bought a DAB radio several years back to address this very problem. If you care about following the club its not a hard thing to do.Well, it used to be the away team took preference. We are playing away, they are at home. The away team always took preference. Times change, the TV coverage is the same. BBC Newcastle says it allVery rare both teams are playing at the same time. Maybe four or five times in the season I’d guess
Unless you are a wrinklie, tit, try living a few miles out of the area and it don't workI bought a DAB radio several years back to address this very problem. If you care about following the club its not a hard thing to do.
Most modern tvs have it as long as you’ve got freeviewThere was no commentary of the Club website, I ended up listening to the Wolves one - awful, flatline commentator and depressed Lee Naylor.

Imagine a wrinklie trying to do thatThere was no commentary of the Club website, I ended up listening to the Wolves one - awful, flatline commentator and depressed Lee Naylor.
Not available to me in LondonMost modern tvs have it as long as you’ve got freeview
Not if your at the match and like to listen to the commentary as there is a 4-5 second delay on DAB that isnt there on fm..whichever way you cut it they used to split the frequencies fairly and now they dont !.The decision to give newcastle the superior fm frequency was made after the slice and dice merchants of death took over takeover. It stinks mainly because of the dropping of the facade by Newcastle radio to provide a fair service.Sadly radio is a forgotten medium and most safc fans are not bothered about the change to make a fuss but the principle holds true and it still stinks !We are usually on DAB, which is better
Nonsense- DAB is far superior to FM. It’s not like DAB is a sudden new technology- it’s been around for ages. I can remember my mother’s wireless being MW only - things do move onNot if your at the match and like to listen to the commentary as there is a 4-5 second delay on DAB that isnt there on fm..whichever way you cut it they used to split the frequencies fairly and now they dont !.The decision to give newcastle the superior fm frequency was made after the slice and dice merchants of death took over takeover. There is a five second delay mate that isnt there with fm and the dab is prone to more dropping out(especially for portable devices) so whilst you may be right about digital being better in the lab and in nerd central in practice its a poorer product. So you are saying that radio newcastle has given Sunderland the superior service with dab then ?Nonsense- DAB is far superior to FM. Much prefer to be on DAB. Don't listen to anything on FM any more.
Think the reason it is the way it is now is cos they would have trouble spelling DAB.
Why would you listen to the radio at the match unless your blind? Not if your at the match and like to listen to the commentary as there is a 4-5 second delay on DAB that isnt there on fm..whichever way you cut it they used to split the frequencies fairly and now they dont !.The decision to give newcastle the superior fm frequency was made after the slice and dice merchants of death took over takeover. If you were really, really ill, those 5 seconds might be important. Why would you listen to the radio at the match unless your blind?
Correct. It’s the Newcastle fans who should be complainingThere is a five second delay mate that isnt there with fm and the dab is prone to more dropping out(especially for portable devices) so whilst you may be right about digital being better in the lab and in nerd central in practice its a poorer product. So you are saying that radio newcastle has given Sunderland the superior service with dab then ?
Mine doesnt offer that station like tbf.See that radio in your car? Unless it’s pre 2003 you’ll have a DAB radio. And if you live in the NE you’ll find BBC Mag Radio just before Radio 1. Press the button and enjoy Barnsey and Benno . Job done. Good luck!
