Racist supporters

Stewards all at front the racist comment happened late in second half as centre half manhandled one of our players but no free kick given. Was at least three rows behind me probably crazy women sat row behind

This is very true. It happened to me in the SoL about 10 years ago when I tackled a racist.

I did report it to the club though and the bloke was banned. He admitted to carrying out an ‘unprovoked attack’ but denied the racist abuse directed to WBA’s Darren Moore. Sadly not one supporter (in the family section/ concession corner) backed me up. it’s easier to stay quiet and pretend it’s not happening
True but after your faux outrage at the black copper in the cop car incident no one believes a word you post on here.

Photo by Alan Hayward/MI News/NurPhoto via Getty Images “If kids racially abusing each other, Raheem Sterling being targeted by the media or watching your black stars abused as they represent your country isn’t enough, then I’m not sure anything will be” writes Tom Albrighton. Racism. Sexism. Homophobia. Three issues rarely broached by the...

Heard a bloke shout from the top of his lungs f***ing black bastard. Embarassing really as it paints our whole fan base in a bad light because of one or two narrow minded individuals. I personally find it surprising that any of our fans would discriminate against black footballers when weve worshipped so many wearing our shirt over recent years.

It is to a sense yeah but a bit barn door, it’s all trousers and no action. Make a difference at source is the only remedy, only then will society really change. I’m more of the George Forman build (not the grill) slightly meaner, leaner & younger.😉

😁😁😁 I believe this SOT, I once caught a tv program where this gonk paid a fluzzy a couple of hundred quid to come and use a nutmeg grater on his bollocks. She proclaimed he was a regular( well every 2-3months it took to heal) so your rent a gash to slash menu I do believe.😁

Bastard. Just spilt my coffee .

Did you call them out? Or are you one of those that are only outraged sitting at a keyboard with a story to tell?
Anyone who bottles calling out this kind of behaviour as and when they see it are on equal turf to the perpetrators....it's disgusting

No offence mate but that’s utter tripe.

Some people don’t like confrontation, it doesn’t put them on par with racists.

It's what happens when neanderthals manage to get their hands on tickets. We have loads of scumbags following us unfortunately.

Probably just said in the heat of the moment if it's one comment rather than somebody who hates black people. Still wrong like but not the same as if it's constant.

As you say the majority of our best players in recent years have been black.

I've said before we have quite a few unfortunately that follow Sunderland. Often hear Anti-Islamic comments and words like 'Pa*i' and a few others.

If you challenge them and say its unacceptable they just threaten you or even worse get physical. I said a few weeks back on a thread on here I heard a lad saying 'Black this' 'Black that' down at Everton about 3 years ago. Think it may have been directed towards Lukaku. He then started singing 'Nananana Jermain Defoe' so I pointed out that Defoe was okay to be black because he plays for Sunderland? I got nothing but a volley of abuse and threatened with violence from him and his mate who was also just as foul.

Sometimes I shudder at other people's opinions of Sunderland.

Well it seems that this issue has gained the attention of those at RR, the numbers are quite interesting, and the reasons why.

And quite a lot are puzzled the poster did not report it to a steward.

Stewards are not easily accessible I was sat halfway down row of full end with no space several rows back and I didn't know where exactly perpetrator was sitting. Granted I could have reported the Stanley knife sisters behind me but I'm not sure what for besides being complete nutters

Not wishing to nit pick but your opening post said It was the fellow sitting next to the two women was hurling abuse at the Shrewsbury CH

I wouldn’t say that in the heat of the moment. Would you ?
