Racist local umpires


Should the thread title not just say '......umpire', in the singular?

Seems to imply that there is more than one but the whole thing seems to be about just one bloke in particular.

You’re probably right although I know of a few others, one who died very recently, whom I won’t name.

Playing in NTCL D5 South last year, we had the same umpire at Greenside, Anfield Plain, Consett, Leadgate and Lintz; every other game we had to umpire ourselves.

The bloke in question was a decent age and did a good job, but he did make some disparaging comments about umpiring Clara Vale & Cowgate, which were met by embarrassed silence.

Could this be same bloke?

I think Alan umpires high level NEPL abut I may be wrong.
 
Surely the bloke can’t be allowed to umpire again. He’s bringing the game into disrepute.

If he did umpire again, it could get very nasty
