You'll never get rid of racism in any walk of life, it's always going to be there. Xenophobia comes in many forms, and every club has an element.

A Mag mate of mine used to always come out with "Ameobi isn't Black, he fell in to a bucket of Black paint!"
Carlton Palmer hit nail on head as far as I'm concerned.Basically said it just words get over it! If he the target and can laugh it off why can't others? Again like he said a lot of black players are just looking for an excuse to get on their soapbox.
Bernard Hopkins can say to joe calzaghe "no way a white boy will beat me" imagine that if other way round! Rio Ferdinand (I imagine one of players Palmer referring to when talking about any excuse) laughs at a post on twitter calling Ashley cole a choc ice (white inside, black out) would have been nice for somebody to press him on what was so amusing about that particular comment!
2014 is a far cry from the 1970's and before and all colours and creeds get a fair crack of the whip and rightly so,quite why the wrapping up in cotton wool of any race other than white in this day and age is beyond me to be honest.

Will we ever truely rid our support base of the racism culture that very much still exists between a small portion of our fan base.

The abuse that Jozy Altidore among others is disgusting, Seemingly people think it's ok as they've paid their money and he's on loads!

Idiots..

He gets most abuse because he is absolutely useless.

Nowt to do with him being black.[DOUBLEPOST=1393963634][/DOUBLEPOST]

I agree mate, I've always said if you don't take offence to it then you take away the power of the words. I've been called a "White c**t" before and laughed because they're stating something I already know. I've been called far worse when working on building sites in the past, and a bait cabin can be a ruthless place but it gave me a thick skin!
