I am pretty sure that some people who are termed racist are actually less racist than their accusers. That's how ridiculous it is now. I really do not want anyone to say anything that might offend anyone else. Sadly, that is not possible.

Again completely wrong, the Ottoman empire was Arab led and the Barbary slave trade included white people, it was not targeting one ethnic group or people with one skin colour.
Many people enslaved from Spain and porugal were themselves of Arab and North African descent.
What is so difficult to understand about that?
Why would you think UK Racial Discrimination Legislation does include discrimination against white skinned people?
The only group of people who think they are victims of this legislation are white far right groups who believe in a lot of theories you have stated today.

one racist comment is bad, why?...because if that one person who made the comment is allowed to get away with it then his mates will think it okay, others will hear and they will think it is fine to carry on, this is why every such comment needs to be reported and action taken.

misleading title to the thread has caused quite a few upsets on here it seems but some replies have been just as bad, to compare a black person to a monkey is so outdated even i am struggling to recall them times but labeling pit villagers as all racist, knuckle dragging morons is equally as bad...jardine is correct in one sense and that is that skin colour should not matter as any and all 'put downs' should be treated the same...put simply, it is not okay to slag anyone off or put them down.

the 70's were bad, it is the way things were then, slavery was bad but again, it is the way things were, thankfully most have moved on from them days but we cannot keep bleating on about history, nothing that ever happens now will change what happened, there have been massive changes over the past 30 or so years be thankful the majority are moving in the right direction and it can only improve.

I agree I’m just pointing out the hypocrisy of how it’s abhorrebt when it happens to blacks but people will trip over themselves to find excuses when it happened to whites.

To be clear both are WRONG.

Same with the Joshua thing which you so enjoy me bringing up. We both know if Fury had said something similar in terms of the white race there’d be uproar. No amount of wriggling squirming about ‘hacks’ would do.

FWIW if that’s what Joshua thinks I have no problem but I don’t like the double standards that accompany it.
