No excuse whatsoever for racism of any kind. Absolutely vile.

Unfortunately with England, including Moeen and Rashid, about to play India at home soon I fear it won't be the last time we hear of racism at English cricket grounds this summer.
 

No-one I was with knew about any of this until I saw this thread earlier.

Be intriguing to see what comes of it!

Can't say it's been an unpleasant few days up here, a few stereotypical folded arms, grump Yorkies, but the majority have been absolutely sound.

I don't think so , I have watched England play India from a very rowdy western terrace with no racism at all .
The Scarborough incident will be a non cricket fan in a day trip full of ale in the sun
 
I've never heard racist abuse in any game at Durham. I thought it was an unwritten rule amongst cricket fans to police this themselves?

Yes, if the comment was loud enough for the player to hear then spectators near to the alleged perpetrator would have heard it and almost certainly at least one of them would have pointed him out to the stewards. Seems likely a comment has been misheard.

You're forgetting this is Yorkshire. We have a poor reputation which doesn't come from nowhere
