Racism at Yorkshire CCC

They all seem to hammer each other irrespective of their race, ethnicity, etc and pick on anything they can. It is a poor and outdated practice. It won't be unique to Yorkshire or cricket as a whole. It needs to change however and this will go some way to starting that.

So what seems potentially like a career bullying and racially abusing a group of people can be forgotten about with a simple apology.

I'm all for second chances and not writing people off after mistakes made. But this feels like it was sustained by hoggard. I think he's still involved in the game at some level and think some action should be taken.

Regardless if he was talking to a podcast or to a player directly. Call him and anyone else out, get rid of this boys club mentality.

Also why is the podcast upset that Rafiq talked about him in the hearing when they clearly passed Bumbles message on :lol:

Well Rafiq said it happened around 15/16 years old which would have been around 06/07 and they both played at Barnsley CC then.

I dunno mate. I'm a white middle class bloke from North Yorkshire, I don't have a clue. I can only listen, learn and take lead from Rafiq himself.

But you have to give them credit for apologising. Vaughan can just fuck off.

How Rafiq summed it up today I think nails it "He probably doesn't remember it because it doesn't mean anything to him."

a private conversation in confidence with someone who then grassed them up and took issue at Rafiq for divulging stuff he was told by DL in confidence.

is it acceptable for someone to be cancelled (or whatever the cancel culture deniers call it) for a text message sent in private in confidence stating an opinion?

is it true asians are geneally wick for paying their subs? Or is it the case where it’s true but no one dare say owt for fear of upsetting anyone like so many things that go on in life?

Apparently it had Rafiqs address in.

It was that cricket badger podcast above. He also spoke in detail about Rafiq negatively it wasn’t simply a 10 second comment about Asians not paying their subs. The detail hasn’t come out but he’s apologised to Rafiq and the Asian community.

Anyway I’m not debating whether it’s right or wrong I just think Sky won’t use him moving forward. Time will tell.

So your complaint is that people who have admitted using racist terms are being outed as racist and this might prejudice them from being racist in future? Moronic take.
 
Thing is with Bumble / Sky - they have very little cricket (if any) on over the next 6 months.

They could try and hope that by the time Bumble is next on live TV this may have ‘blown over’ slightly.

But as @redandwhiterob has said, it’s the perfect opportunity to get shot of him really.
