Racism at Yorkshire CCC

Just looking ahead to the 16th. Does BBC Parliament still exist? And if so I wonder if it will be covering the meeting live

Depends what it says in the report though. Man's hardly diplomatic at the best of times and has an erm questionable record regarding matters of race and religion. Would it surprise you if he's done some career ending stuff?
No. But it would surprise me if he wasn't able to lawyer himself out of it.

I mean, by going early and putting out all the pertaining facts as quickly as possible in one single intervention that he authored on his terms, he's already bought himself much better crisis management advice than his ridiculous county.

While one should never stoop to racism I have it from people that shared fields with Rafa that he was allegedly an absolute shit house of a man that not one player liked on or off the pitch , county or league .
That being the case I can well imagine the friction with him interpersonally but of course you can't use racist words no matter what he says to you .
I think Balance is being diplomatic calling him a friend , Rafa doesn't have them from what I've heard..allegedly

See above
So therefore Ballance was unequivocally racist using the friend angle to try and get himself out of the shit.

Yeh not this one but the original one that Adil is replying too
He retweeted/quoted a Piers Morgan article from the DM if I recall. Can't remember if he passed any more comment.

It was Morgan who suggested the notion of Moeen being a Muslim vigilante with Vaughan sharing in agreement

He's either a friend using banter , a bloke stupidly using all guns on a full on twat, or an actual racist .
Looks like Yorkshire don't believe the latter and all I'm saying is that many club cricketers in Yorkshire wouldn't be surprised at the middle one.
Sorry if that disturbed the free flowing anti Yorkshire narrative it's just something I thought people should know. There there are obvious cultural clashes in Yorkshire and probably throughout English cricket with bringing Asian youth through. The causes of that go beyond blatant racism , the discussion on what would constitute cultural bias is a longer more nuanced one .
I also think too many county clubs are run by the old boys network and those who don't (fit) or who go to the wrong schools do not get a fair crack of the whip. There was a mother on 5 live earlier who said her daughter had been overlooked repeatedly for county squads which then turn out to consist entirely of public school kids who are coached at their schools by the same coaches who select the county squads. That's not a fair and equatable system and works against the working classes and ethnic minorities.

In many ways county cricket is a microcosm of British society and they both need a massive overhaul.
And this

You need to put up evidence.

Or shut up.

easiest thing in the world to say " I've been told" or "I have it on good authority"

means nowt and could just as easily have been made up.

"I've been told by many that I've shared a drink with in bars after matches that Balance is an odious racist and he would have meant every word of his bantz"

All made up of course ...

Can't get over Vaughan saying he's going to fight to clear his name having already passed up the opportunity to be involved with the enquiry. Does that mean he plans to sue Rafiq? What other options are available to him now the enquiry is complete?
