Racism at Yorkshire CCC

Salivating. Absolutely salivating.

I haven’t even bothered clicking the link. It may be true, it may not. If it’s true then it’s disgraceful

But don’t, as a lad who admitted to being a BNP voter, think you have moral superiority over things that you or others did as a teenager.

Oh god here you go. Just because stories are emerging of him, you start attacking me

You're as bad as the ones who have dished out the abuse in this matter.

Bizarre that people have been fixated on this story but suddenly don't seem bothered stories are emerging as this fella which are equally as disturbing and equally wrong if true which one he has admitted to

Essentially it doesn’t matter that Rafiq has done some questionable things in the past.

Racism and discriminating behaviour in cricket has been exposed and individuals have been held to account.

It’s a good thing and hopefully will lead to a better future for everyone.
I know what you’re saying here, but I feel compelled to say that it does matter - anti-Semitism is not ‘questionable’, it’s racism.

That said, Rafiq being racist does not excuse the racism he has suffered, which hopefully is the point you were making.

How the fuck does it not matter that rafiq has anti semitic views like 🤣🤣🤣

What sort of double standards bullshit is this?

Why didn't you say that when I was attacking Yorkshire and the ECB earlier in this thread non stop?
But they don’t deserve any less attacking now regardless of what is dug up now.
You seem you have eased up on any criticism of YCC or ECB but flagging up stuff/views from him.

BTW I’ve not seen anyone condone any anti Semitic views he may have aired

What else do you want me to currently say about Yorkshire and the ECB? What other news has broken about them in the last 24-72 hours. You seem to be trying to insinuate racism because the media have released stories about an Asian person. You wouldn't be arsed if the stories I reported were about a white cricketer. It's not my fault he's been caught out been offensive to Jews and allegedly sending dodgy texts to a 16 year old. It deserves criticism and deserves public attention.

If someone has made a racist comment once at some stage of their life does this mean that they are a racist for life? Rafiq had been in the wrong end of racist comments from the likes of Gale, Ballance, Hoggard etc day after day and overlooked by the management team. I just don’t get the comparison with a racist post made 10 years ago by himself. I wonder what percentage of people on here if they had their entire IT footprint looked at would have made a racist comment over their lifetime. I reckon about 10% would admit to it but about 80% would have at least one entry out of hundreds of thousands that could be deemed racist whether they remember it or not. Does that mean all of these people are racists for life?

I cringe that I used to use the word “puff” on here.

It doesn’t have any impact on the issue, none whatsoever.
As can be seen on the posters who’ve waded in, and let’s be honest there’s more than a hint of racism in their sudden interest.

Does his behaviour deserve criticism, yes, is it relevant no.

I think his Facebook comments about Jews has a massive impact on the issue.

He's in the news and it's news. The local newspaper who have stood by him, reported the texting story.

It's more than relevant and if it was Alex Hales, people would be absolutely hammering him. It seems Rafiq has a free ride with some on here

Does a comment made 10 years ago as a teenager mean he has anti Semitic views now. The Jewish Leadershiip Council who have been incredibly supportive of Rafiq certainly don’t think so. I think their views on this are a bit more important than a jumped up little Englander.

Do you think David Lloyd is a racist?
