Brentford need to fail to beat Palace. Cant see that happening with CP resting up for the final.

Unlikely even a win at Everton will give us any chance on the last day sadly.

If there is any way for the stars to align for Sunderland to miss out on Europe, they’ll align. Look at the two 7th finishes. Euro golden boot winner in the team, the lot. Sometimes it just feels like it’ll never happen for Sunderland. If it had been any other team I’d have bet good money Brighton, Bournemouth etc would be going through complete arse gravy form right now.

Its a shame marra, no disrespect to teams like Brentford or Bournemouth but them having european nights rather than the HD or SOL is a sad indictment to how both our clubs have been managed this past decade or so.

You get what you deserve. Those clubs have as much right as us. Mad that all three were just run of the mill League One/Two clubs not long ago
 
What frustrates me about it is if we’d played our best players, such as Geertruida I think we’d have done better in the three games before today.

Bitter taste in my mouth about them three games. Especially the Diarra miss. We could be sitting in the top half now and within touching distance of europe.

It has been a frustrating run of results since Villa away.

We had a great chance to beat Villa and got nothing.

Got humiliated against Forest which looks like a freak result.

On for a comfortable win against Wolves until a ridiculous red card and only got 1 point.

Were the better team today and should have won.

Big opportunities that we haven't quite made the most of. Europe a step too far for us this season but the future is looking good.

To get Europe all we need is:

To win our two games.
Brentford to draw their two or worse.
Fulham to draw or lose one of their two.

Look at the time of my post as it's before their game today.

Aye now they can only finish on 52 but when I posted they were on 48 points with 3 games left, lose one and win the other 2 is 54 points 👍

I wanted Palace to win to go above the mags (who would lose) but stay below us and make it easier for us to get above Everton come end of season but a draw is still a good result for us.
