Yes, unlikely now. Great effort of the lads. Would love to qualify. However not qualifying will keep a few people happy.
 

We need a minimum of seven points from the last three games and we’d still be looking for favours elsewhere. Not impossible but it’s a long shot !
 
Casting my mind back to the forest game, when at 4-0 down the bloke in front of me laughs it off because 'at least spurs will go down now'

Could have been well in the race for 6th.

Unless we finish 6th, we don't want Villa finishing 5th and to finish 4th instead. That's because 6th would become a Champions League spot and we don't want the likes of Brentford, Bournemouth etc getting the increased revenue from the Champions League place instead of the far less Europa League cash.

It could be interesting come last game as Brentford if in 6th place, play Liverpool and they're the team that Villa can get above into 4th. Would Brentford piss about and lose in the hope a Liverpool win pushed Villa into 5th?

There's been a few what ifs this season for us I think. Maybe next season though 😉

We have forgotten how to defend and have never been much chop at attacking teams
We have stayed up and will have to make do with that
But we need to have a massive shake up in coaching and recruitment to even contemplate a euro spot next season because right now we are awful.
If we go into next season pinning all our hopes on Xhaka being fit, motivated etc every game, and bearing in mind he turns 34 next season, we will be in strife.
 
3 games left and still a mathematical chance of getting European football. I think when we look back at this season we should all be delighted at our achievements. Literally every "expert" had us down to finish 20th 😂😂

I mean, we’ve still technically got a chance of finishing 6th.

Yet one of these quoted posts is pretty much doom & gloom. I think if it’s one club you don’t need to tell you need to evolve to move forward it’s SAFC.
