You honestly think we will win 4/5 games to achieve it? and if we did how would that impact next seasonJust like we didn't want promotion last year? Too soon eh?![]()

I have no idea. But if we did qualify for Europe I'd be over the moon and would dust off my passport! You honestly think we will win 4/5 games to achieve it? and if we did how would that impact next season
There are similarities though. In each scenario many would say we weren't ready for that next step. It’s a bit different tbh
The key difference is promotion makes a massive difference to what you can spend. You couldn’t have a summer like that by qualifying for the Europa or Conference. Personally, life is too short for anything to be “too soon” so I’d be well up for it, but I can see the counter arguments for what they areI have no idea. I was making the point that you can't pick and choose the timing of success. Take it while you can and make the most of it - like we've done this season (despite nobody thinking we were equipped for the Premier League this time last year).
The effect on next season would depend on our transfer business in the summer of course.

We’re not ready for any European competition it would fuck our season for sure. You need a full squad of starters each as good as each other to play every midweek and weekend. Maybe push for it next season but might still be too early.

Think it’s just a case of getting 3pts against Wolves & looking again. If we draw, we’d be looking at winning every other match, which is unlikely.Other sides have got difficult games too but the number of other teams fighting for the same objective might go against us.
Imo we’ll need to go unbeaten for the rest of the season and need three wins to have any chance.
Beat Wolves and Man Utd and we’d be right back in it but we’ll need a massive improvement on last Friday to do either !
results have been very kind to us. Beat Wolves and it,s on. But do the club want it? the players reaction and motivation versus Wolves will tell usMan U can do us a favour tonight. If Brentford lose then nothing much has changed since Friday.
It will be interesting to see how we react against Wolves. Beat them and we are right back in it.

You utter f***ing moron. How old are you? Seems like the typical want it all and want it now of the current generation. The best players want to play Champions League football. After our blistering start with a half competent manager/coach we could have been knocking on the Champions League door and we could have gone from strength to strength. Unfortunately we have the one-dimensional professor.

Have you seen who you’re replying toKnocking on the Champions League door is pure fantasy.
We're are a newly promoted side, not a finished squad. The job this season was to survive, stabilise and prove we belong at this level. Le Bris has us competitive, organised and mid-table rather than getting battered every week like most promoted teams do.
A half competent manager doesn’t magically turn a newly promoted squad into a CL side after a hot start, that’s Football Manager brain.
Yeah, the best players want CL football, but they also want to join clubs with a clear plan. Le Bris is helping build that and calling him one-dimensional because he didn’t turn Sunderland into Villa is ridiculous.

I’d be up for it but there’s zero doubt it would affect our league form. The worst part is we're not allowed to use the Summer window to improve.
In reality - we heard the same thing last year about going up. The additions required wouldn't be nearly as big this time since we would have an established European quality squad on hand already. We'd need to add a few depth pieces to take on Malmo and the like. No different than a cup run. Squad needs beefing up for those anyway.
Don't be afraid of success.
We don't need 18 new signings like we've brought in this year.
We need a few depth pieces across the board and we'd potentially be in the mix for European Silverware etc.
I'm old enough to remember when they were saying that going to the Europa league would fuck Villa over this year.
Dare to dream, boys!
It might. But what does that mean, our league form isn’t good enough to qualify for Europe next year?I’d be up for it but there’s zero doubt it would affect our league form.
