I think it’s a combination of the rumours flying about from lazy journalists, following a really good season, the fact, despite what we think, that we’re not one of even this league’s big clubs let alone the European elite, and should a club with money come in then we’d sell at the right price, and the fact that at our stage of development if a player has his head turned we couldn’t compete with a bigger club and who wants a disgruntled player in the dressing room. Personally I think it’s healthy if we have a bit of turnover, and it definitely shows prospective recruits that we’re a good stepping stone to the very very top clubs.

After one season I’m pretty sure the club is looking at building rather than pulling the squad apart. I think people need to stop thinking about selling our best players and think about investing in better. Turn over of fringe players yes.

I posted earlier would 150 million for Roefs and Sadiki represent good return?? In the present climate of player power if the plausible rumours of interest from big spenders happens and they want away how concerned would people be if we sold at that kind of money?? Just putting it out there because its possible.

Doubt we will hold onto Seelt.

I'd say ST is a priority, the drop off from Brobbey is significant. I agree on Mayenda being a wide forward, plays that for Spain. If we can have two x ST who can get you 10+ goals a season we will be in a good position.

I think we need a right winger, striker, and left back if Cirkin goes.
Would sell Isidor and sell/loan Mayenda, and get rid of the fringe players like Hjelde, Seelt etc
Obviously if any of our first team players leave we’ll also need to replace them

Right winger is the only one I’d be saying we need a ready made player for.

Reinildo still has a year or two in him and we only play 1 up front and I feel that Brobbey seems like the player who wants to be loved and playing. If Cirkin goes we need a younger player to learn his role which I trust the DoF with. Striker is the hardest, Mayenda needs game time but if we loan him out we really need 2 more in as I think Isidor is away but we’d still just have a youngster in the bench who really needs to be playing.

The money saved in wages will be the big thing if we can offload the likes of Hjelde and co, won’t be loads individually but as a whole it’ll be wages for 2 good players for sure.

I'd say so, however some of the fees for players have been mental. Kepa went for ~£70m and Roefs is by far the superior goal keeper.

As well as that looking at the cost we brought them in for, 150m would be a brilliant return.

Yes that was me. I was on the international fans day at the AOL - and Ghisolfi said that they were really happy with the main 14 players but really needed to add depth to it with 5/6 additions.

My interpretation is that we will likely sign a few younger players (Talbi types) to fill out the squad. He also said we didn't have to sell anyone, but the way we work does rely on selling eventually.
