I know we're not Barcelona but their full backs are frequently in advanced positions and in the box to support goal attempts. It works as long as the set up includes cover for the necessary overlaps.

Hes been absolutely no different. His level has stayed the same, the rest have dropped.

How ridiculous is that statement? For the run of games finishing with Swansea (Bardsley's reappearance) the team was 2W, 1D, 7L, -11 in all competitions with the wins coming against lower division teams in the Cup. Since then the team is 4W, 3D, 4L, -1 in all competitions, which is upper mid-table form. Either those eleven results are due solely to Bardsley's heroics of the rest of the players are, in fact, playing better.
