Done the West Yorkshire one stopping off along the train line at various hostelries using a one day pass.

Is there a similar scheme covering the Tyne Valley up to Corbridge for example?

Any recommendations?

No, we're not Real Ale Wankers.

With a bit of research you can make up your own. Using manchester as our base the lads i play football with have done:
Buxton
Chester
Holmes Chapel
Altrincham
Hebden bridge

Just pick your destination, look up the "calling points" on the trainline, then use google maps for pubs near each station. Most station will have 1 or 2 pubs within walking distance.

Hope Valley out of Sheffield would be good, or just stay in the pub in the station which is great

Done the hope valley trip a few weeks back ,started at Edale ,big mistake, got there to early found the pub wasnt open.Finished at Grindleford, but the nearest pubs a fair hike uphill.Derbyshire wayfarer ticket covers that route.Northern rattler all day off peak covers the route across the Pennines to Manchester stopping at a fair few stations with pubs on the platforms or easy walking distance.
