Psg

at the end of the day the money in the PL is so vast, clubs here will generally outperform most others.
Yep,that's why the mags were 7th favs to win it before the draw.Theyre actually expected get to the quarters by the bookies who knar their stuff.I watched Barca last night and they were bang average, the mags would do them imo.But ive said for 3 year the standard of European national and international football is in decline.
Been saying it for a while, Mbappe will end up at the Mags.....
He's going to RM

Aye I said QFs before the draw was made, with a favourable draw, semis are a decent bet now for Saudi.

Not really looking forward to a 9-0 defeat to them

I’m not the biggest optimist. I am positive when theirs a reason to be positive. My positivity is measured and not often OTT. I don’t think we will win the league on the strength of one win.

But it has to be said I think even the biggest clubs in the Premiership can be undone with hard work and effort. By a team who is well organised. You don’t have to be full of £50m signings. It only counts for something being a Premiership club because you might be able to spend more on the training facilities. They are only better because they have a slightly higher fitness level. Look at the number of Championship clubs who when they are playing well can beat a Premiership team. They cost more. They may be fitter. But they are not better.

That’s why the mags will soon be worked out and undone.

PSG don’t even have a good squad. After Mbappe, Hakimi and Marquinhos. You’re looking at a bunch of inconsistent and average players. It was evident how bad their depth is when Bradley Barcola comes on. Newcastle deserved the win but for PSG the problem is deeper than that result

Just watched the highlights from last neet, now I'm not a bitter mackem trying to downplay how they played but fuck me if the highlights of the game are a true showing then it shows the foibles of allowing one player to be bigger than the club. The fact mbappe pretty much ran that club over the past few years and now wants away shows player power has run amuck in Paris. Absolutely bang average for a squad that's had souch spent on it they'll never win the champions league now other clubs have the means to compete money wise. Can see it all going to bits over the next few years, always seemed a strange one, take away the amazing city the club isn't exactly a titan never has never will be whatever they pumped into it.

PSG had 74% possession. They simply came with the wrong preparation and underestimated the Mags as a team. Howe did a job on them with tactics and got a win. I reckon other clubs will be better prepared.

The mags play the exact same way Liverpool did when they won the league a few year ago. Very high press, quick starts, trippier does exactly what Trent did - basically what Klopp called heavy metal football.

I really, really hate to say it,but they top their group(correct?)..for a reason. Will be difficult to beat, especially at home...but as they get deeper in to it,hopefully will get found out.

Cant say im arsed if they win it, any honours will be tainted by blood money. Im more interested in our young exciting squad playingthe best football I’ve watched in years

PSG can’t even top their domestic league, Milan are a shadow of their former selves, Dortmund minus Bellingham. You literally couldn’t have hand picked a more appealing group for the Saudi’s.

Oh well, the futures incredibly bright for us, there’ll be a NE club back in the top flight soon enough. 🔴⚪

Plenty of people on here laughing when they seen the draw I recall.

Facts are PSG are in turmoil. Lost Messi and Neymar and Mbappe clearly doesn't want to be there. Will be lucky to finish top 4 this season tbh.

Dortmund lost Bellingham and have looked pretty vulnerable this season. Not a great team by and stretch of the imagination.

Milan look the best of the lot but even they aren't a patch on their great teams of yesteryear.

In summary, yes they're up against 3 absolutely massive clubs but they aren't playing against great teams. They are on a par with Brentford, Brighton, Villa etc despite the mags and the mainstream media in general trying to tell us that it was the greatest night in NE sporting history.

They beat a very big club, but a very average team. Nothing more than that and I still think they'll end up finishing 3rd in that group.

Controversial opinion, but the mags doing well is probably a good thing for the whole north east.

*When* we get promoted and get the NE derby back on the calender it'll remind everyone that the whole area is a footballing powerhouse
Silly comment

Agree with a lot of this. It’s a great draw and Newcastle are where I thought they would be after 2 games
