Mine looked at me blankly, then said she’ll make her own mind up when she plays Final fantasy with it.

Not sure how to take that

I hope so too, can’t get away with the current ones. Much prefer the Xbox controller this gen.

I think it's an improvement on PS3 but Switch Pro Controller and Xbox are better this generation

Son had his 3 weeks and r2 controller kaput - loads on the web about this, cheap springs. Thing of beauty but build quality crap.

I’ve got 3 and had no problems, that’s a shame bud. Sony good at replacements though, get on the blower!

Both of our controllers just won't charge via the cable that came with the console. I'm having to use phone chargers.

Have you tried the ports at the back of the console? Heard something about people having issues charging from the front but it being fine at the back.

I heard about this but they supposed to have patched it to work in all ports

Didn't even know it had ones in the back! I never get a look in on it. It's on a pretty enclosed shelf so will get it down tomorrow and have a look, cheers.

Might be worth contacting Sony, normally Ok with stuff like this.

Might sound a daft suggestion but I found my controller not charging when I had it in rest mode. Had a look at my settings and I had everything on power saving mode so my USB ports were turned off.
