All that can better this season in the final 7 games is a goal from O’Nien at home, I’d love Rigg and Hume to score but can see them playing in the prem for years to come. Would just top off an incredible first season back if a lad who drove himself here with a massive smile on his face and after that debut could score in the prem.

Wouldn’t mind Europa conference league spot either but that’s just being greedy.
Yeah an 09 goal would be very special.

As someone who now looks on that doesn’t go to games, it’s been bloody amazing.

What a season, happy to admit after the euphoria of the final whistle at Wembley I would have grabbed your hand off 17th but, the transfer window, and the results/performances have massively exceeded my expectations.

We saw
  • Underdogs will never beat Jimmy Hill
  • Underdogs will never beat Keiffer Moore
  • Least points ever
  • 6 easy points for The Mags
  • Relegated by Christmas

Then when they sort of thought/reluctantly accepted we weren’t going down this season they moved the goalposts to, “wait until next season”

Mind, it has to be said, some Sunderland supporters, have been total t**ts too. Because Match day threads can be an abomination with those desperate to be negative.

Unhappy because a newly promoted side, especially one over a few weeks decimated by injuries, isn’t performing well and loses.

You all know who you are.

Last 12 months probably had the most absolute limbs moments of any 12 months in my supporting life

Play off semi away Mayenda goal
Play off semi home Ballard goal
Watson (and Mayenda) at Wembley
Taking the full time redemption photo v the mags after beating them
Brobbey winner at the mags away

They were all all-timers

And then we’ve had the first game v West Ham 3-0, last minute winners v Brentford and Chelsea, steely away wins at Forest and Leeds, beating Bournemouth from 2-0 down, unbeaten at home for 6 months of a top flight season - amazing amazing season in an era where newly promoted clubs are meant to just go down
But we don’t have an airport…

Looking at the games left I think we will finish above the Mags despite all the millions they spent so will would really justify being proud as the Op said to be Top Dogs in the North East at the the end........... Til the End lads

Been a fantastic season. Get behind the Lads for the last few games! Would be great to have an atmosphere like the first couple of games for the remaining home matches

May 25 - May 26

I noticed this about playing. He doesn’t start every week but from memory RLB seems to pick him for the big or pressure games

If Talbi kicks on he could become ridiculously good. He's not raw. He seems to have a decent football brain, good head head on his shoulders and handles big moments. And he's quick. Basically he's holding his own in the Premier League on the basis of skills you can't teach.

The international break has properly made me reflect on it. I'd have taken being where West Ham are rn just scrapping to stay up but the fact we're this comfy with 7 games to go is mind blowing.

The last 12 months in general have been tbh and still pinching meself. Need to get the place bouncing again on Sunday and for the final 3 after that, zero excuses not to and who knows we might need passports out.

My favourite time supporting the lads in my near 40 years on the planet. Sure, we finished 7th coming up once under super Kev and co but wherever we finish this year will be far more impressive with the crazy money, expectations, what we've achieved so far, and the now global reach of the prem.

Our owners have been nothing short of outstanding in their footballing decisions.

What a season.

Incredible what the club and players have achieved this season. Its been underplayed even with our fans these days because of how early we looked safe as houses.

Numerous moments in the last 12 months that that been special.
