Pros playing club cricket

He was playing for the teams 1st XI but they were playing against another teams 3rd XI.

The fact that he posted the scorecard says all you need to know for me - he didn't do that to promote the club etc... he did it to show off personally..... so for that he can f*** off.

Seems Rikki Clarke has caused a bit of a storm by hitting a double ton off a hundred balls playing in the 3rd XI of the Hampshire 6th division

Never liked owt like that, as teams at whatever level care about their team and gave their all to try and win their league.

A player could come along like Clarke and stop that happening or effect it happening playing against their team and not others.

Should add that there’s an ex-Durham player playing Sundays for an academy side at present. He doesn’t bowl and bats 11, retiring out as soon as the ninth wicket falls.

That’s a much better way imo.

Not that many play around here nowadays. The local Evening League used to be full of them. Played against a few.
