Terrible crack. Ruined the game for 21 others… or at least 11 of them.

Up here there are generally rules that prevent that thankfully.

Should add that there’s an ex-Durham player playing Sundays for an academy side at present. He doesn’t bowl and bats 11, retiring out as soon as the ninth wicket falls.

That’s a much better way imo.

I don't buy the argument that those on the opposition will have been buzzing to play against him. If Ben Stokes turned up in a match against me and scored 200 and we lost by 30 runs, I'd be fuming
