He got his selections wrong, then rectified it 2nd half....there's really not much else to say about it. He's not going to get it right every week, and there's lessons to be learnt for both him and some of the players after tonight.

Yep. The thing is you have to test your theory before you can assess the result. IMO it was worth a shot although it will be classed as a failed experiment. Every experiment delivers data to be analysed.

I have no doubt that his own analysis will see aspects, both good and bad, that we did not see.

I agree. They had clearly worked on something in training that they thought would work in a game, but it didn't work and we reverted back to our tried and tested. In hindsight, we kind of wasted the first half, but RLB should/would have taken a few things from that first 45/60 mins.
