*~*~* Preston v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

We arent in the top flight and the majority of our players are young and will get better.

Players development aren’t always on a constant upwards trajectory though. We’ve had hundreds of players come through the ranks who reach their level and stay at it for the duration of the careers.

We have some that will develop and move up a tier but there’ll be plenty who stay where they are or go down. I think Neil might be at his level. Hopefully I’m wrong and he proves me wrong at Sunderland in the top flight!

Or that he’s been a passenger in a lot of the games & should have been replaced weeks ago
You’re one of the fan boys that can’t accept criticism of him
Here we go “fan boys” blah, blah, blah, of course I can accept criticism I criticise all of our players at times, but unlike “bedwetters” (there’s another one) like you I try to keep a perspective on things.
As for being a passenger and getting carried you really believe that shite you would have thought if there’s one position you couldn’t carry somebody it would be where he plays and the team would be conceding which it isn’t.
Anyway gan to bed you borin fucker.

le Bris got it wrong with the team selection today,

That been said overall extremely poor performance.

We should have and could have easily lost this game

But we didn't and he got much needed minutes into Connolly. Had a glimpse at what Wilson can offer out wide left, gave one of our brightest prospects a start and began playing Mayenda back in to contention.

In life you don't always reap potential benefits in the very first instance. One more away game without defeat and another clean sheet. He'll look at what we got right, what we got wrong, and work towards developing what's beginning to look like the makings of a decent young side to me.

I've no doubt he's right, but starting our in-form striker out on the left, then putting Watson who's more comfortable on the left, on the right, while playing 5'4 Connolly upfront, looked to me like RLB created more problems for himself than solutions.

I'm sure he'll take something from tonights game.
Think he was confident with Wilson on the left and wanted to consolidate that .Putting Tommy on the left and him not working and wilson not coming off on the right might have been a dangerous move too far. Connolly needs playing up front and although he struggled i think ( if we look closely enough ) his positioning and movement in the box is coming.

Try watching the game next time then your comments will have more weight

This. Was expecting two losses given the games and how the seemed to go but we didn't we scraped two decent draws. A lot didn't work tonight and we didn't play well but it could have been a lot lot worse
And over 60 years I've seen a hell of a lot worse. A decent point overall even though we could have been 3 down by half time.
