*~*~* Preston v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

Our backup left winger being our first choice striker is a load of shite mind.

Hope someone decided to make their number 10 before he strolls into the box unmarked for a fourth time this half, that’d be nice.

I'd swap the front three around Wilson up top Watson on his good side and connolly out on the right . Atleast only one player out of position then .

We massively lack a defensive midfielder. I do t really care what anybody says like. We get cut open a lot through the middle. It’s where we concede most of our chances.
We signed a Champions League one in August. However he was injured and is going to miss the first half of the season !!!!

This is why I don’t think we’ll get top 2 .. we don’t control the game. It’s been mainly all them.
Whether Jobe would make a difference but Wilson isn’t in the game and Connolly might as well have not come out

Only just seen that Watson and Connolly are playing for Roberts and Mundle....no wonder the wingers look so out of it and the defence is getting rinsed

Hume can be a right liability! Love to see us sign a proper wingback because he doesn't get up the pitch enough and that right side is already poor for goals.

Hume and Neil are 2 players I am dubious about, they can look good in certain games but they look crap and crumble under pressure if it's a tough game.

Also you can see the difference to our centre without Bellingham.

Doing my head in today.

I know we're trying to play positive passes, but not everything needs to be a killer ball.

Need to find the balance in keeping possession and playing the dangerous pass

Most of Prestons attacks have come from us playing too quickly and playing the wrong ball.

Midfielders passing poor, wingers not doing the defensive side of the game, Connolly yet to touch the ball, amazing it's still 0-0. Can only improve.
