So...what did he say?

bought the club for 40mil, at this minute in time they just wanted to get the sale of the club ower the line. He can't wait to get started on the job (hands-on) and we should have a manager in place by the end of the week. we'll have the biggest budget in the league (if needed)

I don't buy that it was all on Ellis either - by the time Coleman was dunted the deal was subject "only to EFL approval". Would Short dismiss a manager without discussing it with the new owners first? I'm not convinced.

I mean it's pretty simple. If Donald had said otherwise today, he'd likely have been on the hook for Coleman suing the shit out of him for the 1.7m he got out of paying him.

People need to remember too, we are debt free. That will allow a lot of movement to happen in terms of capital for players. Listening to them speak and the position we in, I do not have any concerns
we do still need to players where their instalments are due

Yeah exactly. He’s just saying that to save face-you don’t want the first thing to be him saying “Yeah I sacked him”

Donald said he would consider having him back
Wasn't there a contractual knot? Coleman would be paid a massive wedge if new owners came in then sacked him? So Short got rid, not triggering this clause? Leaving to door open - potentially - for a fresh approach by new owners, without the punitive effects of that clause? Something along those lines, I think.

On the manager front, an 'appointment within seven days, hopefully by the weekend' presumably rules out Paul Hurst for certain and possibly Jack Ross too. Between Appleton and Bowyer?

Gary or Lee Bowyer? Presumably the former?!

Hmmm they reminded me of davey cameron and george osborn
Ha ha, anar what you mean marra. Truth is, we don't have a clue until they get started & have a year or so under their belts. That's how I see it anyway.

They really just need to get to work now, keep all this media stuff brief, get on with trying to get rid of players not wanted, appointing manager, getting league one quality players in, its going to be hard work

I can't see who is going to buy some of the players on the big wages.

The reality is IMO, for this to work, we need to get out of League One this season, if we don't, I think we head towards financial trouble again

A few players were loan signings, borini goes in July, plus a few others that should be signing for there loan clubs...

But a busy summer of transfers, in and out for the new owners, can't wait
