do have to agree with you. This is the central problem
Fans want excitement, unpredictability, drama
Broadcasters advertisers and sponsors want predictability. The same teams playing each other all the time. Just look at the champions league - endlessly tweaking the format to guarantee the same teams in the final stages year after year.
Eventually fans start and turn off. The Champions league is turgid, and the Premier league is going the same way
Far too many people mesmerised by the glitzy Sky bullshit.. I remember listening to the Annual Port Stanley Darts Championship on the radio in the Falklands.. deffo where Sky got the idea from.Nope
In my lifetime Derby County, Nottingham Forest, Blackburn Rovers, Leicester City have all won the league
The league being the top of the England and Wales pyramid structure that includes Sunderland RCA
The modern day Sky Sportswashing “English Premier” league bullshit has brought us Man City winning the league over and over again with an easy win bought by oil money hoovering up world cup stars, Saudi murderers buying a local club wholesale, nylon shirts for £100+, season tickets topping three grand at some clubs, kick off times shifted to suit TV rather than supporters and obscene wages for professional footballers
Progress?
I personally do not think so
Good point that. I'm looking to spend a fortune in SuperValu.I think that the advertiser’s actually get more views than without IPTV. So should pay more
With about three or four games left in the Championship this season one of the TV pundits over here said that it was still mathematically possible for every team in the division to either be promoted or relegated. Compare that to the bore fest in the prem when all the key places had long since been locked up. The premier may be prestigious and of course we want to be there but the championship has so much more potential to be exciting and right up to the end of the season.Aye, when I first got sky I was buzzing to be able to watch live football having previously just had MotD. I'd happily watch 9th vs 13th on a lunchtime. Sometimes I'd still stick it on like, but it's not something I'd bother with most of the time. Generally neither are at risk of going down. One might get a chance of conference league but who cares outside their fan base? Even man united being shit didn't make me care enough to watch. I'd have been glued to it if they were actually at risk of going down, but they were never in danger and they get so much money that you know they'll move back up the league soon enough.
I find it stale but like I say that might just be age, but if younger people are less likely to pay they've got a problem. I'm buzzing we're back, you need to be in the top flight, but I'll always maintain that the championship is the better league. Everyone with something to play for, teams can come up from league one and compete straight away like Luton and Ipswich, and we, did, you can come 16th then go up the next season. The only issue its got is parachute teams being ridiculously better off, and even that's a PL issue really
For me I dislike the fact the players are pathetic little weaklings. You must be logged on to see external links
It’s almost as if it might be getting boring seeing the same teams at the top all of the time and the newly promoted clubs struggling to compete.
Everything is the same these days...too much wrestling, movie and tv franchises. Everything the dead horse is just a pile of dust manToo much footy.
Amazon have lost the rights this seasonThe cost of subs is obscene man, you need a sky sub but not just the sports you’ll have to take another package as well so you’re probably looking at minimum £50. Then you need tnt sports think that is £28 a month then Amazon have games which is another £9 a month. So to see games your looking at the thick end of £100 a month. That’s just silly when people overseas pay nowhere near that and get all the games. Iptv is ok I’ve used it it’ll never be as nice as having all the games in 4k hdr etc but the cost is a fraction. I’ve knocked sky on the head after 25 years as I was barely watching it bar the sports. Cost needs to be brought down not going up every few months like it seems to be.
No doubt. They know it's a problem and stuff like losing 10% of their customer base will only mean they ramp up their efforts to put a stop to it.
Do they pay for your beer if you keep receipts?I was recently sent information on how to apply for a watchers brief, for Sunderland area. All that was required, was to wonder into establishments and see if they were showing the football match illegally. No confrontation involved, just evidence gathering.
this was a new job(s) due to Sunderlands promotion. (no interest what so ever in the job as I attend the matches).
not prosecuting the end user is similar to not prosecuting the punter in the bar (if there is such an offence). after the people who are making the money as it then makes their prosecution easier.

It can't help when half the Premier League are small clubs like Brighton, Brentford, Burnley, Bournemouth, Fulham, Palace, Wolves, Leeds, Forest, Everton etc they just have no pull nationwide.
This Tik Tok generation won't be aware of them.I wouldn't class Wolves, Leeds, Forest or Everton as small clubs.
