Don't think there is a rule for that unless they introduced it for this season. Been loads of times Liverpool have played on a Wednesday night in Europe then played Saturday 12:30 because Jurgen Klopp used to moan about it all the time.

There is a rule in place if the game is a Saturday 12.30pm selection and the team have played away on the Wednesday in Europe before it moves to Saturday 8pm

It actually when Ole Gunner Solksjaer was Manchester United manager that it changed as he complained live on air about the short period of rest and travelling back

Next month Merseyside Derby is one of those games It actually moves to Sunday 12noon if Liverpool are away on the Wednesday before it

Guessing Merseyside Police didn't want Saturday 8pm game!
