Wonder if it’s a sewn/stick on white patch or if they’ve made player issue shirts where the blank area is woven into the fabric.
The PL numbers look huge maybe the patch is so wide in case we end up with high numbers. We must have a few in the 20s & 30s already like.

Top one would be perfectly fine imo. Maybe they think it’s more likely to stay on with a larger surface area. Don’t think they’d be able to feather the edges because it’s just a patch.
