Predict a signing

I’m still fascinated as to how we will handle the homegrown issue. In the next 18 months we need to have some kind of pipeline, and with the odd exception (Young, Finn….) there isn’t a hugely obvious candidate from the academy

I wonder if we will look at the relegated clubs for a bargain there (Bueno maybe), or even someone like Morton from Lyon
Assuming someone will have said Cirkin renewal by now. Makes sense - cheap - showed he's ok at PL level in limited time and homegrown too.

I wonder if Jack Grealish is a possibility?

Looked really good at Everton beginning of the season before injury.
Misfit for our project. Not a player will or should be looking at.

I think Angulo and Talbi will be our LW options next season, with Mundle sold or loaned, and Enzo able to cover there.

If we upgrade that position we should be going for Said El Mala from Cologne and loaning out Talbi for a season. 13 goals in Bundesliga as a 19yo left winger - German leagues Kroupi Jr.

If we buy a LW it has to be an obvious upgrade to knock Talbi down the order, and we definitely won't spend huge money on Grealish type wages to block the development of two young players.

Yes

Loan out Talbi? 🤷

We are gonna have to be careful
Need more players , but our spending cap is now 70% of revenue as we are in the Europa , compared to 85% this season.
I have no idea of the state of our finances mind - but it's a huge constraint

Define huge.

We still have a pile to spend and stay within limits

No way KLD was going to overspend next season.

Sustainable will be his plan and going forward.

The homegrown thing is a slight concern for me, just because quality homegrown players cost a lot more money relatively.

And we just about made the cut last year with 3 of those homegrown players being goalkeepers on the initial squad list. Neil leaving now, presumably Cirkin too. Do we know if Mayenda counts?

We'll be signing players we've never even heard of, and possibly looking at the young players from the top half clubs who aren't breaking through at their parent clubs.

And Dembele.

No idea who we will sign, but I’m almost 100% sure who we won’t sign…..I can’t see us bringing in anyone from the Premier League. They will all be from abroad 100%

We need genuine top level wingers but I have honestly no idea who that could even be this is unchartered territory.

One I'm probably in the small majority against trying for is Amad though. Love the lad but his numbers goal/assist wise really aren't that great and for the fee he'd cost we need that.

Endrick - R Madrid (19yr old, scored 5 in 16 in Ligue 1)

Charlie Cresswell - Toulouse (23, solid CB, home grown)

Moreira - Strasbourg (21, winger who can cover lb 4 goals and 7 assists in 27 games this season - 3 goals and 5 assists when playing RW)
