its againt Regis Le Bris and Enzo Le Fee home town isnt it?
i think it'll be well attended.

I’m not. If you ignore the shit attendance it’s a good opportunity for new signings to get used to the stadium before the first meaningful match.

It’s just marginal gains, but it worked well for us last season.

World Cup goes to 19 July in USA, then our first friendly over there is 6 days later.

Reckon the York game will be full of under 21s mainly.

Interesting to announce the behind closed doors match, too. Wonder if that's to manage expectation around who appears in the proper game later that day?

(Seems odd to play 2 games on the same day in that way generally, but we did similar last summer so must be a method to it)

Canny big schedule that mind. Worked or us last year, but with a world cup and European football this year....

Hopefully we will need it in order to give all of the players in a bigger squad than we have now a decent pre-season outing.

Lens are saying it’s a 4pm local time KO, means any southern based supporters can do this as a day trip. 8:34am Eurostar out and then the 9:05pm back from Lille.

The game had to be moved to Hebburn a couple of days before due to the state of the pitch, so Gateshead only have themselves to blame for us dumping that annual pre-season friendly.

Enzo's from Lorient and Régis was born in Pont-l'Abbé, a small town south west of Quimper. It's Isidor who was born in Rennes.

Shields have just replaced their playing surface so I expected that we’d not be playing them

So many of our players involved there are bound to be some out early and some out late in tournament.
